CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that star Michael Mealor has opened up about his best summer ever. The actor, who is best known for his role as Kyle Abbott on the hit CBS soap, says that his most memorable summer to date was actually when his father came to visit him in L.A. Making memories with family members always turns out to be the best of times, right? Here’s what he has to say.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, the handsome actor says, “My best summer was the summer my dad spent in Los Angeles with me. We drove cross country and it was a blast. I can’t remember by worst summer but I’m from Georgia and there are a lot of thunderstorms during the summertime. I am sure it was a summer that was extra-stormy and I wasn’t able to be outside as much.”

With that said, we are hoping that the cast and the crew of ‘Young and the Restless’ will have a ‘working’ summer seeing how the series has not been in production since the beginning of the global coronavirus pandemic back in March. Even though the state of California has given the film industry the green light to begin production again, CBS Studios has not made any comment as to when both ‘Young and the Restless’ and its sister soap ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ will filming new episodes again. Seeing how it’s been well over a month since we’ve gotten any new material, here’s hoping that will happen sooner rather than later. Until now all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!
