British Royal Family News says that royal fans and critics alike have taken to their social media accounts to slam Meghan Markle for not making any statements about George Floyd’s death or the ongoing protests that have taken over many parts of the country. Even though the Duchess of Sussex has spoken out against racism and some of the experiences she had dealt with in the past, Meghan has been suspiciously quiet this past week even though many other celebrities have been speaking out about the matter. Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been holed up at Tyler Perry’s $18 million dollar mansion in Beverly Hills since the last week of March but unfortunately have not been able to go anywhere. That’s because California’s strict shelter-in-place due to the coronavirus has forced them to stay put and now the ongoing protests over George Floyd’s death has also made them reconsider any of their plans because of the safety risks.

But what seems to bother critics the most is the fact that Meghan Markle has not spoken out about the issue. This comes after a video from 2012 of Meghan speaking about racism has resurfaced. The Duchess also shared a poignant Martin Luther King Jr. quote during the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.
Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are sometimes very quick to respond to events and tragedies and were one of the first royals to make a statement about the global pandemic, they have been uncharacteristically quiet this time around. Some comments from critics have included, “Wondering why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are quiet about the racism occurring in the US?” along with, “’Where is Meghan Markle? She seems awfully quiet these days.” Another fan wrote, “Where is she now? I don’t see her speaking about what’s happening now. Are there any recent pics and appearances?”
