With everything that is going on in the world right now with the Covid-19 pandemic, a royal pregnancy would certainly bring a lot of good news and cheer. But at the same time, it would also bring a lot of worries and concerns, seeing how the UK is only beginning to ease some of the restrictions that have been put in place these last several months. What’s more, the royal family have been sheltering-in-place since March and are not expected to continue any of their royal engagements and public appearances in the future.

What’s more, a Kate Middleton pregnancy would certainly look very different the fourth time around. Fans would see less of her maternity fashion because the Duchess of Cambridge would be expected to stay home at more. In addition, there would be more concerns over her health and safety, as many pregnant women have been advised to take extra precautions during the pandemic.
If that weren’t enough, Prince William and Kate Middleton would have to op out of their traditional photo op outside of St. Mary’s hospital in London, in order to avoid drawing big crowds. There would also be less pomp and circumstance surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s christening and other fun, traditional royal events. This is something that Queen Elizabeth would definitely not want to see and that’s why many plans have either been put on hold or postponed until a later date.
So, could this mean that Prince William and Kate Middleton are being forced to put their baby plans on hold because of the pandemic? Possibly so.
