With the April Fool’s Day jokes flying off everywhere, many fans of the shows thought that all of these rumors were just jokes. Dylan Barbour, who is engaged to Hannah Godwin, posted a picture of him and his fiance, with Chris Harrison. The picture was from 2019 and didn’t tell fans that much. The caption is what really changed what everyone thought.

The caption of Dylan’s picture read, “Wow, what a career. I want to be the first to congratulate Chris on his retirement from ABC’s ‘The Bachelor’ franchise! You’ve changed all of our lives for the better, and I can’t wait to see what the next phase of your life holds for you. With that said, I can’t believe you’ve chosen ME to take your place as the host of ABC’s ‘The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise’-although I was oddly left off ‘Listen to Your Heart’. You could have chosen anyone! Like Wells Adams, Blake Horseman, or even Chad Johnson. While no one can ever replace you, I promise you and all of Bachelor Nation to give it my all.”
When fans read this, they were all shocked, but in the comments, we can see that Dylan’s post was an April Fool’s joke. Fans took to Twitter and posted. One wrote, “Just found out some sad news…Chris Harrison is leaving the Bachelor franchise!” Another fan wrote, “Did anyone else know that Chris Harrison was leaving the ABC franchise? Tearing up a little bit!” Fans were not happy at all about this April Fool’s Day prank. Chris Harrison did not comment on any of the posts and it is important for fans to know that he is not retiring and he will continue to do the shows. He did think that the joke was pretty funny though.
