CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winter’s (Christel Khalil) working partnership has already been rocky. Much to our surprise though, Billy has been playing ball. He does all the right things, apologizes, admits he’s wrong and she’s right and has been trying to make it work. Supposedly. It seems like he’s just trying to keep her happy while he takes care of things under her nose.
Today, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was late to work because he was already interviewing a journalist for the company. He seemed to think he was the perfect candidate and brought him back to the office to meet Lily. They began the interview process and in the middle, Lily discovers something she doesn’t like. Not only has he done a lot of good work and for many publications but this guy also tore down a family by digging up dirt on them. She even mentions he got the grandfather the worst. Wink, wink.

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Will Billy Hire That Journalist Under The Table?
She immediately turns him down and Billy tries to defend himself. Eventually, he admits that he wanted to hire the guy because of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), which Lily had been getting at the whole time. She explains if you want to get back at someone, there are plenty of ways to do it besides starting a competing business.
Billy backs down and accepts that she’s right and tries to make the peace. It works and they can continue on with their partnership. However, I don’t think this is the end of it. I believe Billy will reach back out to this guy and hire him under the table to bring down Victor. This could also tie in with Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) search for evidence in the A.J.
