CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that even a broken clock is right twice a day. While Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has been stuck on Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) during the storm, the conversation about Newman Enterprises came up. Nick explains to Phyllis that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) offered him the CEO position of the company until Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is back to full health. I personally wanted him to step up. He knows the company and if he really cares that much about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) not being in charge, he would do it.

Even Phyllis realizes this, and she’s not right about a lot. While Nick talks about it, Phyllis agrees with Victor. She tells him that his father and she would not agree on much but she thinks Victor is right and Nick should accept it. It’s only for a few months until Victoria gets back on her feet.

Could Phyllis end up changing Nick’s mind? As we saw today, they’re obviously still very close and care about eachother. Ugh. After their night together, Phyllis may bring it back up and maybe talk some sense into Nick. I suppose if anyone can, it may be Phyllis oddly enough. Perhaps she’d find an angle in it that would benefit her as well. She did ask him about some property, maybe by talking him into taking the job, she could get what she wants.

It’s just an odd situation, where Nick feels so strongly about Adam not getting the job but yet he won’t step up for a few months? I think Nick needs to stand up and just do it, and Phyllis could maybe push him towards it. What do you think? Could Phyllis help Nick change his mind about the job? Let us know in the comments below.
