NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) star Suzanne Rogers is opening up about her character Maggie Horton and her latest controversy. While there’s no doubt that Maggie’s alcoholism has always been a problem, she never thought that it would turn so out of control that she would wind up killing Adrienne! Here’s what she has to say.
When asked if she would have ever thought that her character would be the “driving force” behind such a controversial storyline, Suzanne replied with, “Never. I never did. That’s why I wanted to show them that I could do it. And that I appreciated the positive thought that they could give it to me and I would be able to do it. And I think I did. I think they were more than pleased. I’m happy about that, and that’s all you hope for. You don’t do things for awards. You do things for appreciation, that they get it. That what you wanted to show, they got. Because that’s in your head and they don’t know what’s coming out of your head. It was exciting, but it was scary.”

Suzanne also admitted that she didn’t know from the get-go that Maggie was responsible for the accident that killed Adrienne. But at the same time, Suzanne says that she didn’t mind at all. She further explained, “I don’t want to know what the end result is. I want to live it as it plays out because we don’t know what tomorrow’s going to be life. So as an actress, that’s how I like to approach my role.”

With that said, it appears as though Maggie is going to have a lot of explaining to do. Little by little the events of what happened are going to come together as Maggie will continue to get flashbacks about that fatal night. Of course, ‘Days of Our Lives’ fans will have to tune in to find out how it all plays out!
