CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that Phyllis Summer (Michelle Stafford) can fall somewhere between a powerful, independent woman and an evil entity on the show and it looks like this season, Phyllis has chosen the lateral option. Unlike other female characters on the soap opera, Phyllis brings an extra spunk and feistiness to her character. She is a strong-willed character that doesn’t often play Damsel in distress. She isn’t afraid to fight dirty – and she proves that in ‘Young and the Restless’ most recent episode.
After Phyllis’ intense eavesdropping event in Vegas, she decided to use the conversation
between Chance and Adam to her advantage. After Chance and Adams emotional conversation,
Phyllis toyed with the men by asking intuitive questions that signalled that she, in fact, did know
what was going on between them.

However, Phyllis didn’t just stop there in her reign of terror and torture. Phyllis decided
to maximize this information to get what she really wants from Chelsea. In true Phyllis fashion,
she propositioned Chelsea with feisty fire. Phyllis threatens putting Adam in prison if Chelsea
doesn’t oblige to Phyllis’ demands.

What does Phyllis want, you ask?
Phyllis wants what Phyllis ALWAYS wants – power and money! Phyllis is blackmailing
Chelsea for 25% of Grande Phoenix, and it looks like it might actually work.
At first, Chelsea pushes back and warns Phyllis that threatening Adam probably isn’t in
her best interest. However, Phyllis comes back strongly with, “Tell that to the woman in Vegas
whose husband is missing”. Cue Chelsea’s awkward silence and slight confusion.
Following their intense conversation, Chelsea corners Adam to ask him about what
Phyllis said. She demands the truth and Adam gives it to her! Adam admits that Phyllis is
correct, and now Chelsea is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either risk Adam’s future or
give up her shares to the beloved hotel.
As the episode progresses, we see Chelsea talking to Abby. Chelsea admits that she is
selling her shares to Phyllis. This would signal that Phyllis has lost this fight, yet again.
