NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will have no choice but to work with his wayward father if he wants to ever reclaim his freedom again. And while the two have had a very complex relationship in the past, can Ben trust his father enough that he will help him with his son’s best intentions in mind? Perhaps. Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, Robert Scott Wilson admits that while his character’s relationship with his father Clyde has always been rather complicated, right now he doesn’t have many choices. Also, he doesn’t have many people that he can trust or rely on for that matter.

The actor put it this way to the publication, “Clyde is the only person who makes Ben feel inferior or like a little boy. Ben has always had this little complex about who he is and what he’s been through. He’s a strong man, but he’s got a lot of self doubt.” And while no one would argue that Clyde is a master manipulator, Robert admits that Ben has every reason to be skeptical of his own father. After all, he has done him wrong in the past and he is certainly capable of doing him wrong again. Robert added, “When you see Ben’s eyes and his expression change, it’s because he’s with Clyde.”

With that said, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers also tease that while Ben and Clyde will team together to break out of prison, it won’t go as planned.
