‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Hayley Erin, who plays Claire Newman, recently dished to Soap Opera Digest about Claire finding out about Victor Newman (Eric Braden) and Audra Charles’s (Zuleyka Silver) dirty deal.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Claire Always Dreamed Of Having A Real Family
Their goal was to break up Claire and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Claire isn’t exactly in a “good place right now,” the actress confirmed.

Her father, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), just passed away, and she’s heartbroken. Ever since her family returned to Genoa City, from what Kyle quipped was “the trip from hell,” it was clear to Claire that secrets were being kept from her.
“One of my favorite things about her is how smart she is, and how well she can read people, and the fact that she knows Kyle so well,”
Erin shared.
Of course, we all know that Victor agreed to fund Audra’s cosmetics company, Vibrante. The one condition was that Audra had to succeed in seducing Kyle, so that Claire would end her relationship with him.

Claire may be willing to forgive Victor eventually, but she’s reserving most of her anger for Audra. It’s understandable in a sense because Claire was always so desperate to have a real family, and she doesn’t want an outsider to ruin that for her.
For most of her life, she was manipulated by her evil aunt, Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk). She was taught to be unforgiving and vengeful. Sadly, she was told that her parents, Cole and Victoria, never wanted her. She spent years believing Jordan’s lies.
“I think the wishful thinking of having the family that she’s always wanted, she’s willing to look past certain things and forgive Victor and accept him and accept his apology,”
Erin explains.
“She does not have the same grace for Audra.”
She confirmed.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Claire Is Utterly Disgusted By Audra’s Advances Toward Kyle
However, that doesn’t mean that Claire is a pushover. She’s already stood up to Victor in a major way and told him where he can shove his negativity toward Kyle.
It was baffling that Victor used Cole’s death as a weapon to demean Kyle in front of Claire and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who are both grieving.

While Claire may be disappointed in her grandfather to learn that he would stoop to such twisted lengths to break them up, she’s utterly disgusted that Audra would agree to do it in the first place.
Claire may be willing to overlook the unpleasant personality traits of the Great Victor Newman. For the sake of the family, she will forgive. She just lost her father, and she doesn’t want to lose her grandfather, too.
“At least Victor turns around and apologizes, and Audra just keeps digging holes,”
Erin teases.
“So, yeah. Claire isn’t biting her tongue anymore, and I love that,”
She exclaims.
“I think it’s time that we see that tougher side to her.”
She adds.
“I’m so happy to get to watch her stick up for herself and not let anyone walk all over her. She’s definitely going to give Audra a taste of her own medicine.”
Erin muses.
