‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out in style with some fun spoilery goodies for Friday, January 12 to share.
There’s going to be some fun confrontations coming in this episode as some ties are broken and other strained.
It’s going to be fun seeing where the writers go with a couple of these angles in the coming weeks.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Refusing to blame Nikki
While Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was out of it, it looks like Lauren Fenmore (Tracy Bregman) called her sponsor and he came over to help Nikki.
This will be a good scene between them as it’ll show how strong an illness alcoholism and addiction is, but when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) arrives, things shift slightly.
He’ll stand by Nikki no matter what, and he’ll even put the blame for Nikki drinking the night before on Seth (Brian Gaskill) but she’ll defend him and take responsibility, even when Victor wants her to get a new sponsor.
It looks like Seth has been Nikki’s sponsor for a while and Victor is just lashing out in frustration, but there’s always a chance it’ll lead to something else.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Ashley’s on the fence
Ashley Abbott (Elieen Davidson) is on the fence on whether or not she’s losing herself again, so she’s going to grill Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about if Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is gas lighting her.
Audra will point out Tucker’s many things, but he’s never been accused of gas lighting anyone, and if it’s bothering Ashley so much then she must really love him.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think this will strike a nerve and Ashley will go interrogate Tucker again, and it’s unclear if she’s actually rewriting things to protect herself on some level or if Tucker’s really messing with her.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was concerned about Tucker pushing her over the edge when she got back together with him, but there’s a chance Ashley’s mind is doing it to her to protect her from being hurt again.
If so, it’s going to be interesting to see how the show handles it going forward and if it’s a self defense mechanism or if there’s something about Tucker that triggers Ashley into this type of reaction.
