There are shifting alliances in the air in Genoa City as it looks like Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may end up leaving Jabot to work with and help his mother, and ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are looking forward to how this will be handled.

There’s always some kind of power shift and dynamic at play in Genoa City and usually it has the passion of a jelly fish floating in the ocean.

As the show has moved away from personal relationships by gearing them more toward power struggles for business opportunities and power, we don’t get as much passion as we’d expect as ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers previously covered here.

It may be because they’ve done it so often, like they need an excuse to make a relationship break up instead of letting different personalities decide the outcome.

But there’s a chance that Billy leaving Jabot after Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) stood by him to join Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), things could heat up.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Betrayal or not betrayal

This is going to be a hard decision for Billy as Jack has shown signs of fearing Billy would revert to old habits and he nearly did if Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) hadn’t called him out for it.

Jack had been trying to do that without doing it, and it only served to put a greater distance between them.

When Jill approached Billy about coming to help her since she’s basically alone against Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), it gave him something to think on, but he decided to stay at Jabot.

But it looks like Chelsea will help him see the healthier environment, as strange as it sounds, may be with Jill since she’ll support him without question and call him out when needed.

Jack could see it as a betrayal, especially after he stood his ground and fought with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) so vehemently for Billy to stay.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers – Two pronged attack

There is a plus side to Billy going to Chancellor-Winters and that for one, he’s worked with Jill and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) before and he could help solidify the women’s relationship as Mamie tries to force Jill out.

More than that, it’ll give Jill the support she needs to give Tucker something else to worry about. He’ll undoubtedly think Jabot is weaker and it’ll give Billy a chance to help both his family’s companies at the same time.

There are a few ways this could go and it could inject some much life and energy this storyline has lost the last few weeks.

Should Billy stay at Jabot or go to Chancellor-Winters? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
