Prince Harry and Meghan Markel may be stripped of their royal titles soon. Conservative Member of Parliament Bob Seely is presenting a bill that would force the House of Commons to consider removing the titles Duke and Duchess and into plain Mr. and Mrs. Sussex.
This change may occur in light of the royal racist row that was provoked by “Meghan’s mouthpiece,” Omid Scobie, in his book, “Endgame,” which was released on November 28th.
Harry and Meghan Could Lose Millions of Dollars
Harry and Meghan have denied any involvement, but most people don’t believe them. King Charles and Kate Middleton were outed as “royal racists,” which is ludicrous.
It’s all over wondering what a baby boy will look like when they are born. Meghan was pregnant with Archie when they were allegedly curious about how dark the child’s skin would be. The whole scandal has rocked the royal family to its core.
If Harry and Meghan are stripped of their royal titles, they could lose millions of dollars. The potential costs of losing their titles could be devastating.
The loss could amount to millions, not just immediately but in the long term. Lucrative commercial deals could be at stake if the Sussexes lose their Duke and Duchess titles.
The loss could even be irreversible, as an entertainment expert explains, “It could be a loss in their income, position, power, and even a loss of access to their primary income sources, including commercial deals. Specifically, their partnership with Netflix, which is tied to their personal brand and public image.”
The loss of titles would not damage Meghan as much as it would Harry. Since Harry was born into the institution, it would look much worse for him.
Not to mention, Meghan’s popularity is not contingent upon her having a royal title. Most of what determines her popularity is based on her personality and individual brand.
Mr. Seely Supports the Monarchy
However, it is rumored Harry was house hunting in the UK, so we don’t know what the future will bring for the Sussexes.
Mr. Seely is looking to do this in support of the monarchy. Ever since Harry and Meghan’s documentary in December 2022, he has been persistent about wanting to remove their titles.
During the Netflix docuseries, the Sussexes discussed the royal family and expressed disdain over how they had been treated, especially Meghan.
The royal titles were given to Harry and Meghan as a wedding gift. However, when they moved to California and started using their titles for commercial benefit while simultaneously bashing the royal family, they should have been stripped of their titles.
The titles were intended for them to be used when they were working royals. NOT making Netflix documentaries or interviewing celebrities on Spotify.
The fact that Meghan has not responded to the racist row amid all the controversy. The royal names were supposedly included in a private letter between the Duchess and King Charles.
Funny how Meghan sued The Mail on Sunday after the newspaper published parts of a letter to her father. She seems to pick and choose what she gets offended about to suit her purposes.
If Harry and Meghan are not stripped of their titles, they could potentially cause more problems.
