‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers document that there have been many grand parties for this great soap opera. But the one being planned foreshadows a funeral.
The end of an era might be at hand. While no confirmation exists, John McCook (Eric Forrester) could be retiring. As Eric intends this part to be his last hurrah, McCook could offer his swan song.
No confirmed information exists about McCook’s intentions. That makes sense because news of his imminent retirement would give away the ending to the intense story that is playing.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – Looking All The Way Back To 1987
McCook appeared on B&B’s first show when it debuted on Monday, March 23, 1987. Eric ran Forrester Creations’ fashion show on that episode.
Recent recollections have included historical scenes dating back to B&B’s early years. Eric also discussed some of his greatest loves with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) before collapsing at the Forrester mansion.
If this is to be the end of Eric’s life and McCook’s final bow, the applause is already building. McCook, daytime’s reigning Emmy award winner in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category, is as great as ever. Going out on top is undoubtedly appealing.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – Stephanie Forrester Was Also Great
No one in the know in Los Angeles, California, wants Eric to die. The man is beloved as the patriarch of his family and as the remaining co-founder of FC.
Of course, the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) co-founded FC with Eric. The lines McCook recently exchanged with Gareis about Eric’s marriage to Stephanie were simultaneously touching and hilarious. That was fitting to the moment and respectful to that other great B&B cast member.
Dr. Colin Colby (Justiin Davis) is very serious. He wants Eric to be in the hospital, but his patient has refused. Eric is also resigned to his seeming fate, and unless some new element enters the frame, he will perish shortly.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – But Let’s Hope Eric Forrester Lives
It could be that Dr. Colby becomes aware of an experimental treatment and presents that to Eric. A change of heart is always possible when facing one’s mortality.
Alternatively, John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is a prominent doctor. His place as Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) husband also makes him family. So, Finn, Steffy, or both could persuade him to pursue treatment.
With Christmas only weeks away, audience members are curious. Will they see the steady decline or even death of this soap’s all-time male lead during the holiday season on B&B?
