Meghan Markle attended Variety’s Power of Women Event on November 16th and dropped hints that she was returning to acting, and teased potential producing gigs.
Meghan Markle Reminded Everyone About the Everlasting Appeal of “Suits”
The Duchess was seen breaking bread with some of Hollywood’s most influential media executives as she talked up the “everlasting” appeal of “Suits,” which is streaming on Netflix.
When asked about Suits’s sudden regain in popularity, she said, “It was great to work on,” Markle beamed proudly.
“Such a great cast and crew. We had an enjoyable time. I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit.” Meghan continued her ringing endorsement, “But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”
Meghan was selling herself and talking herself up as an actress. She is looking to make her big Hollywood comeback, while Harry is frantically trying to repair the damage done to his family following the infamous Megxit.
Meghan Markle talked about her upcoming projects, and she said that she was proud of what she was creating and that her husband was excited about it as well.
We doubt he’s that excited. He always seems to want to be anywhere, but among the copious cast of actors and singers, he mixes it up with because of his wife. He looks bored out of his mind if anything.
Rumor has it that Harry is pushing to return to the UK to be with family and friends. Meanwhile, Meghan yucked it up with big Hollywood hitters on her “Mom’s night out.”
Celebrities Are Distancing Themselves from the Sussexes
The funny thing is, with as many pictures as Meghan took with other celebrities last night, there wasn’t a single picture of her with Oprah Winfrey. Oprah, one of the guests of honor and a neighbor and supposed friend of the Sussexes, was not seen chatting with her.
Many of Harry and Meghan’s “friends” in their circle of celebrity confidants seem to be distancing themselves. They know the couple is grasping at straws at this point in the journey of financial independence that brought them to Tinsel Town.
Since the night was about powerful women, Markle couldn’t resist puffing it up,
“This industry is so special, and you see how many women use their platform and channel it for good. And to sit in this room, in such good company tonight.”
Last year, Meghan commented on her children possibly following in her acting footsteps. She said that her kids might join the entertainment industry in the future. The royals would love that.
An extremely awkward moment occurred last night at the event in which someone appeared to be trying to shoo Meghan off after she took a lot of pictures in a row for the paparazzi.
The woman looked like an aide of some sort and tried to move Meghan out of the spotlight. She tried and failed to get the Duchess’s attention, and when Meghan kept taking pictures, you could hear the woman in the background awkwardly exclaiming, “That’s fine.”
