Welcome to Plathville is in full swing on TLC right now. The Plath family has encountered some family drama in the new season and it looks as if things are getting more intense for everyone. We have seen the Plath family over the last five seasons and as the show has gone on, family members do get introduced here and there.
One of the latest family members that viewers were surprised to see was Amber Plath. She hasn’t been mentioned that often on the show, but now it looks as if fans are wanting to know more about her. Who is she? Let’s try to dig a little deeper.

Amber is one of the children of Kim Plath and Barry Plath and she is actually the seventh child in the Plath family. SHe is 14 years old and she is seen with her sisters Cassia and Mercy on social media pretty often.

Welcome to Plathville spends a lot of time focused on the older children in the Plath family, so Amber hasn’t gotten a lot of attention as of yet. The younger children do not have a large role on the show, but if the show does continue on, it seems that they could appear on it more often.
Amber doesn’t ever appear in the confessionals that her parents and older siblings do. This isn’t unusal for shows like this one though. We have seen similiar things happen on Counting On and 19 Kids and Counting.
While there are a lot of children in the Plath family, some fans do wish that they could see more of the younger siblings and how they live their lives. In fact, as little as Amber has been on the show, Redditors wanted to throw their opinions around about what they think about her.
One began the thread, “Amber is the most underrated Plath. I think she’s going to go far in live and you can see the look on her face when her sisters talk.
She looks at them like they are all dumbasses. She’s like ‘Ok Moriah, enough with the woe is me Eeyore vibes.’ And she’s like cut the Jesus s**t out Lydia. I can’t wait for Amber’s Tell-All one day.”
Of course, there were a lot of questions about who Amber is by other Redditors and one answered, “Amber is the sister who told Kim if she wanted a divorce, she’s the one who needed to move out not Barry. That line gave me so much respect for Amber.”
One more followed up with, “She is, she’s the next oldest after Isaac. She was the first child born after Joshua’s death and Kim was pregnant with her when he died. I think she holds a unique position in the family due to her placement after that extreme trauma. Her personality seems very independent but thoughtful and compassionate.”
As Welcome to Plathville continues this season, fans are hopeful that they will see more of Amber and her good advice.
