The cast of 1000-Lb Sisters has been rocked with a lot of sadness and tragedy this year. Tammy Slaton lost her husband, Caleb Willingham earlier this year and it has been very difficult for everyone to bounce back from that. It turns out that there has been another death in the family though.

In a recent post on her Instagram account, Amanda opened up about the painful year that her family has had. Shortly after Caleb died, the family began to film 1000-Lb Sisters once again.

Amanda noted that she got hit incredibly hard with sickness and wasn’t sure what the outcome would be. She caught COVID and was feeling horrible. She then went into the fact that her family had lost another loving family member. This time it was her great aunt.
Amanda shared a photo of her great aunt with her great uncle. She captioned the photo, “This is the latest picture of my great auntie and great uncle. Earlier today this beautiful lady went to sit at the feet of Jesus. She was the last living sibling out of 18 babies. She was my Grannie Mabel Ellis’ sister. I cannot imagine how great my grandparents felt when they finally welcomed Aunt ‘fishy’ into their arms, or how her 17 siblings celebrated when they saw her walk through those pearly gates. She will be missed so deeply.”
The post was so sweet and Amanda’s fans were quick to share their love, thoughts, and prayers with her and the family. This loss has hit the family once again and they are doing their best to grieve and heal at this time.
As fans wait patiently to see more of the sisters on 1000-Lb Sisters, they do know that the family is going through a very hard time right now. Perhaps their great aunt’s death will also be featured on the show, but as of right now, that is unclear.
