‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) just dropped a bombshell on his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). It seems like it is something that Victor didn’t think about it. Is he concerned because he may have lost his touch?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Reshuffling at Newman Enterprises
With the latest shuffle at Newman, Nick was offered Nikki Newman’s (Melody Scott Thomas) position as co-CEO of Newman Enterprises. Nikki was moved to be CEO of Newman Media.
Instead of staying with the family company, Nick turned it down and decided that he would go and work with Sharon Newman Rosales (Sharon Case) at her newly acquired Kirsten Incorporated.
After some traveling for Kirsten, he returns to find things a little crazy. Victor announced that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is going to take Nikki Newman’s vacated position.
Victoria hoped that it would be Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and was shocked to find out that she is being demoted. Victor is taking over the CEO desk himself.
Additionally, Victor has offered Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a job “starting from scratch”. He just informed Adam and Nate that Adam’s new role will be to be Nate’s assistant.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Confrontation Ruffles Feathers
When Nick returns to town, he tries to talk to his father a bit about what Victoria is feeling. Nick admits that Victor is free to do whatever he wants to do. Nick admits that he is concerned about Adam working for Nate. He doesn’t believe that will go well.
Victor extends the invitation to Nick to return and take a leadership role, so he can help with that potentially disastrous relationship. Nick declines. After suggesting that he isn’t sure who will come out on top in a rumble between Adam and Nate, Nick then suggests something that perhaps Victor missed.
Nick suggests that maybe Adam and Nate will team up together to remove Victor from his position of power. That seems to unnerve Victor a bit. Perhaps it odes because he didn’t have the foresight to consider the possibility, and as such a powerful businessman, he can’t afford to miss part of this picture.
