Joe Jonas, of Jonas brothers fame, and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Sophie Turner from “Games of Thrones,” said in a joint statement earlier today that their marriage was over and they were parting ways amicably.
Rumors are swirling that Sophie Turner is a party girl. This lifestyle was a considerable factor in Jonas wanting a divorce. She loves the nightlife, drinking, dancing, and carousing in general.
On the other hand, Jonas is a reported homebody who prefers a low-key lifestyle. Jonas hired famed celebrity attorney Tom Sasser.
He is known for being the lawyer involved in Tiger Woods’s divorce and helped Gisele Bundchen at the end of her marriage to Tom Brady.
Jonas Can’t Deal With Sophie Anymore
Joe has two daughters with Sophie, one three and the other one. Jonas has said that the girls have primarily been with him, while Sophie has not been around as much.
Jonas expressed that he wants to share custody after the divorce and work on his relationship with Sophie as parents, which is remarkably generous since she has been MIA.
Joe explained, “A parenting plan should be established.” In his filing, he included a timesharing schedule, which would provide the contact details of both parents.
Jonas wants both him and Sophie to contribute to raising the children.
Jonas intends to keep all the money he earned with his brothers as a musical group, and Sophie will keep her money from Game of Thrones and her acting career.
Each spouse will keep the property that belongs to them respectively.
Jonas and Sophie were married on May 1st, 2019, and a prenuptial agreement was enacted, which meant they were prepared in case of a split.
