Coronation Street spoilers fans were treated to an action-packed double bill last night to kick off the Christmas weekend, and they weren’t too be disappointed. Fans saw Roy Cropper (David Neilson) try to make amends with his new niece, while Gary Windass (Mikey North) also caught on to plans that Derek Milligan (Craig Els) had for the factory. However, it was the storyline surrounding Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) and Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) that took an unexpected turn to close the episode, with Robert trapping Michelle into a corner.
Coronation Street Spoilers: What Will Michelle Do?
Michelle had earlier helped Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn) give birth to their new baby, but the pairs plan for their revenge on Robert has now ended. Michelle secretly called the hospital while Vicky was looking after the baby, and the ambulance came just as the baby was born. Vicky was shocked at first, but Michelle said that it was more important that the new baby boy was healthy than their plan of revenge.
Ultimately Vicky decided that was the right idea and thanked Michelle for her help. However, upon news that Vicky had been found safe, Robert was released by the police. He was quickly on the warpath, and that led him back to Michelle, where he demanded answers.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Robert To See His Baby
Robert approached Michelle after she had got back from the hospital and demanded to know what was happening. She let it slip that the baby boy and Vicky were gone and that they would never see him again. Robert was shocked as Michelle knew the babies gender, and demanded to know whether they were working on a plan together.
Clearly rattled, Michelle confessed to the whole plan. However, she was unaware that Robert recorded the whole confession and threatened to go to the police with the new evidence. Michelle begged him not to go and claimed that he got what he deserved, as not only did he cheat on her, but he also used the death of Michelle’s baby boy to further his relationship.
Robert conceded that he shouldn’t have done that, but he made an ultimatum of his own. He demanded that she tell him where Vicky and the baby have gone, or he will go to the police. The episode ended with Michelle standing firm on her promise to Vicky, and Robert leaving the apartment. Will he go to the police, though? We will have to wait and see at Coronation Street embarks on what is set to be an explosive week.
