It has been a Christmas to forget for Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) to this point, and it only promises to get worse for the former bistro owner. He is locked up in prison for the murder of Vicky Jefferies (Kerri Quinn). However, she isn’t really dead.

The mother of his baby and Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) have been plotting their revenge against the cheat for months. But, this is set to take an unexpected twist over the coming episodes as the two women in his life will be forced to deliver the baby by themselves to avoid raising suspicions.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Vicky In Labour

In Wednesday night’s double episode, we got the first impression that the baby was on its way, as Vicky pushed Michelle to leave the secret hotel room quickly. Vicky was evidently in pain, and viewers immediately began to think that she was able to go into labour, despite Vicky telling Michelle it was nothing serious.

Michelle hastily left to avoid raising suspicions about their location, as any potential slip now could see both women heading to prison for misleading the police. Their unlikely allegiance will take another interesting turn over the coming weeks when it will ironically be Michelle that is forced to help Vicky give birth to her ex-fiances baby.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Michelle Delivers Baby

Michelle will first get wind of the news that Vicky has gone into labour when she gets a worrying call from the mom-to-be. Michelle quickly heads back to their secret location where she finds Vicky ready to give birth on the bed. The two women quickly decide against calling for help, which means that Michelle must be the one to assist Vicky.

This is bound to be an emotional time for Michelle as he lost her baby boy two years ago when she had a miscarriage. However, she is able to hold together her emotions and help Vicky give birth in their secret hotel room. It would appear that the two women would have gotten away with it, but would their conscious force them to admit the truth?

Both characters are set to leave the cobbles for good once the money from the bistro has come in, but could there be set to be a new twist? Or will the women leave without saying a word, and ensure that Robert never gets to meet the baby that he so desperately wanted?
