‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are all set to close out another week, and this episode promises some fun moments and plot twists.

It’s always interesting to see characters trying to prove they’re smarter than they really are, and when it blows up in their faces it’s a thing of beauty.

There are a couple of characters that could happen to, so let’s dive into some spoilers and see what’s coming our way.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 4: Ashley has a change of heart

Now that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) fought back against Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)’s revenge, it looks like Ashley may be hitting the brakes on her scheme and trying to move beyond the petty battles.

Of course, she could just be saying that to appease Abby and make nice since we weren’t privy on screen to the aftermath of Abby kicking them out, but there’s a chance she means it this time.

It’ll be welcomed new to Abby since it looks like they were still planning on having the wedding at the Chancellor estate despite her saying differently, and she can now switch her focus to hiding the breakables just in case.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 4: Adam tries to be better

It won’t take long for some of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)’s old self will come out, but the good thing for him is it’ll be because he’s hurting and because Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) encouraged him to speak up.

‘Young and the Restless’ expect them to quickly work past it and he’ll refocused on the task at hand and the crisis was adverted, but it was close. With so many working parts, we’re sure there’s a lot of combustible possibilities coming.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 4: Daniel won’t back down

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will try to work her magic and convince Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) that she knows what she’s doing and she’ll figure out a way she and Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) will get off free and clear.

    No photo description available.

To his credit, Daniel won’t budge and will continue to tell her to take Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell)’s deal and pay for her mistakes before he walks out on her.

He knows Phyllis’ selfishness won’t allow her to go down to save her own daughter no matter what she says, and there’s a good chance he’ll go to the prosecution and turn on her to save Summer.

Will Adam be able to stay focused on the task at hand or will he revert back to his old ways? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
