According to Wendy Williams’ representative, she has started drinking again after her stint in rehab last year.

Wendy Williams’ Representative Confirms She Has Started Drinking Again

Her reason for doing so is to celebrate a “fresh start” in life. According to Page Six, Wendy Williams was seen drinking in New York City on Friday, 17th March 2023, which has been reported as a wild night out after her stint in rehab just five months ago.

Reports indicate that she went on a tour of bars in Manhattan and made stops at places like Fresco by Scotto and The Townhouse, a bar that caters to the LGBTQ+ community.

A source said: “Wendy has spent most of her life in the public eye, and when is out she likes to acknowledge her fans.”

After experiencing a series of unpredictable actions and accusations related to drug misuse, Wendy was checked into a rehabilitation facility, from where she was discharged five months ago.

Since losing The Wendy Williams Show in June 2022, Wendy has not appeared on screen. Wendy has previously shared that she has been dealing with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism, which she was diagnosed with in 2003.

Additionally, Wendy has had difficulties with substance abuse after separating from her ex-husband Kevin Hunter, leading her to seek treatment at a rehab facility in 2019 and again in August of the previous year.

According to Rob Shuter during a recent encounter, the host of the podcast Naughty But Nice podcast, Wendy appeared to be alone and unaccompanied at bars, but her demeanor changed when she recognized someone she knew, becoming more animated and engaged.

In his comments at the time, he remarked: “We had a bite, we had some drinks, but then when we were getting ready to say goodbye, Wendy didn’t really want us to leave.”

The response on social media was one of mass concern. This was on the grounds that the signs suggested that Wendy was on course for having a relapse.

And in the process, people urged her to get help as soon as possible in order to prevent things from escalating.

One person wrote: “She needs to end it for good. The drinking only gets worse and you’re right back in the same hole you dug yourself out of 1000 times.

“She’s just fooling herself thinking this time will be different.”
