According to Meghan McCain, Gwyneth Paltrow appears to be significantly older than her actual age of 50, and the reason behind this is her diet which involves starving herself.
Meghan McCain Slams Gwyneth Paltrow’s Diet-‘Cult, Like A Living Hell’
In a column published in the Daily Mail on Friday, 17th March 2023, the previous co-host of “The View” criticized Paltrow, stating that she appears worn out and unattractive.
Despite seldom commenting on the looks of other women, the author, McCain, likened Paltrow’s wellness routine to a cult and described her as having a washed-out appearance.
In her comments, Meghan said: “Her life sounds like a living hell. Nothing about her day sounds nourishing or fulfilling. The laser focus on ‘wellness’ seems obsessive and, quite frankly, unwell.”
During an episode of the podcast “Art of Being Well”, Paltrow discussed certain habits that were deemed controversial by McCain.
These included her practice of intermittent fasting and receiving IV drips. Paltrow also mentioned that she consumes bone broth for lunch and follows a paleo diet for dinner.
Paltrow is facing criticism not just from McCain, but also from Tess Holliday who expressed her opinion that bone broth is not an appropriate meal.
Tess’ following comments confirmed as much: “People continue to give her airtime, to give her a platform, to take her ‘advice,’ because everyone is too afraid to be fat.”
In contrast, Bethenny Frankel defended Paltrow by stating that she is not promoting unhealthy eating habits as her target audience consists of middle-aged mothers.
This is understandable since Paltrow’s stance may be designed to help those who are aging look and feel more graceful.
After all, Paltrow is known for pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable as shown through her Goop brand.
And yet, the social media response was mostly in favor of Meghan. Large numbers of people were of the view that Paltrow was promoting an unrealistic lifestyle choice since most people would not have access to IVs.
Not only that, but others simply began to bash Paltrow’s appearance. One person wrote: “While I rarely, if ever agree with McCain – she’s spot on this time.
“Gwyneth look 10 – 15 years older than her actual age and it isn’t pretty.” Paltrow has shown that she will continue to do what is best regardless of what others may have to say about it all.
