Amid rumors about their romantic relationship, Jennifer Hudson wished Common a happy 51st birthday on Instagram, however, some fans cautioned the singer to be careful.
Fans Warn Jennifer Hudson Over Dating Common-‘He’s Hurt Several’
Lonnie Rashid Lynn, who goes by the stage name Common, had been romantically involved with Tiffany Haddish for almost a year until they parted ways in November 2021.
And according to reports, he has been in relationships with several well-known women such as Erykah Badu, Taraji P. Henson, Serena Williams, and Angela Rye.
He also has a 26-year-old daughter named Omoye Assata Lynn with his ex-partner Kim Jones. In the past, Hudson was betrothed to David Otunga who is 42 years old and they have a 13-year-old son named David Jr.
However, they separated in 2017. With that being said, the following post was telling. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Jennifer shared a picture of the pair standing next to each other.
Thay had massive smiles on their faces and could not be any happier. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Team Jhud pls help me wish one of the brightest lights, a Chicago and hip hop legend, the one and only @common a very happy birthday on today.”
Hudson’s birthday message to Common, shared on a public platform, appeared to validate the rumors of their romantic involvement.
There had been speculation about their relationship since 2022, but Hudson had previously refrained from directly addressing them.
But according to a report by Radar Online in January, it was revealed that the two people from Chicago have been in a romantic relationship for several months.
The rumors of their relationship were strengthened when they were seen together on a date night at Nobu in Malibu in February.
In response, Hudson remarked the following: “People create their narratives of it and it’s like, OK, you know, how you feel. We shot a film together and he played my husband. We gotta eat in between those moments.”
The response on social media was very clear. Large numbers of people warned Hudson against pursuing anything since Common’s prior track record had shown that he was not capable of holding down a stable relationship.
One person wrote: “Her new boo? I hope not, she can do better. Don’t get me wrong he’s a great person, but he doesn’t commit and he’s hurt several. But happy birthday.”
