On Wednesday, 1st March 2023, the ex-“Teen Mom” star Ryan Edwards was detained due to alleged stalking of his estranged wife Mackenzie Edwards and infringement of a protective order.

According to The US Sun, the Tennessee police issued warrants on the 23rd of February, just a fortnight after Ryan’s apprehension for bothering Mackenzie. On the 10th of February, the police apprehended Ryan on accusations of intimidation, having items related to drugs, possessing a controlled substance, and violating a safety order Mackenzie had attained the day prior.
With that being said, it is alleged that The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office took action to bring him in. Ryan had shown that his behavior was quite volatile. Prior to the arrest, he had posted an image Mackenzie’s stomach on his social media profile with extremely negative comments: “If you guys have never seen a spineless s**t this is one.
“They take your money, sleep with anything that looks at them. But they must have a wife to [sic]. God what a joke. It’s sad really.” Meanwhile, Mackenzie is a mother of two children that she has with Ryan.
This made things even more problematic since she had been vocal about instances of domestic violence she had been subjected to since they got married in 2017. Therefore, the fact that Ryan has now been apprehended is key in light of her prior comments: “Ryan punched holes in the walls and doors.
“[He] held me up by my neck to the wall. Threw me down in hallway and said if he could not have me no one could.” It is not exactly clear what punishment Ryan will receive, but if the previous comments are anything to go by, then it could be quite serious. We will have to see how this will all play out moving forward.
