Following his sexist on-air comments, Don Lemon will resume his anchoring duties at CNN. However, there is a catch, and according to our informants, this may not be the end of the matter.
Chris Licht, the network’s CEO, met with Don Lemon for a “frank and meaningful conversation,” according to a Monday email Licht sent to CNN employees. Lemon agreed to take part in formal training during their conversation, but Licht did not clarify what kind. Licht continued, “It is important to me that CNN balances accountability with a fostering culture in which people can own, learn and grow from their mistakes. To that end, Don will return to ‘CNN This Morning’ on Wednesday.”
Don Lemon RETURNS To CNN After Nikki Haley Comments Under This ONE Condition!
As you are aware, Lemon slipped up last Thursday when he insulted Nikki Haley, a Republican candidate for president in 2024, labeling her past her prime at 51. Don’s response was in response to Haley’s previous statement that politicians over 75 should undergo mental competency testing.
Lemon said, “Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime. Sorry. A woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s, and maybe 40s.” “That’s not according to me” “Look it up. if you Google ‘when is a woman in her prime’ it’ll say 20s, 30s, and 40s.” Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, his female cohosts, appeared shocked and insulted. Harlow asked Lemon to clarify if he meant prime for childbearing.
Don responded, “Don’t shoot the messenger. I’m just saying what the facts are. Google it.” For Lemon, things soon got worse. Don offered several excuses, including one where he interrupted a staff meeting in the morning, but they weren’t well accepted.
