Former CNN reporter Chris Cuomo has revealed that he wanted to kill everyone and himself after he was fired from the network.

His firing arrived in response to allegations that he had been giving his brother, Andrew Cuomo, some advice while he was navigating his sexual misconduct saga. This did not go down very well since Chris worked in the media, whilst his brother was the Governor of New York at the time.

While Chris did go on to get therapy in the aftermath of his firing, the fact of the matter is that he was in a very bad place at one point. In his comments on the “Open Book’ podcast, he said: “I had to accept [my firing] because I was going to kill everybody, including myself.

“Things can consume you. There is damage that is relatable, there is damage that is unrelatable to people that I have to deal with, that I am working on.”

Nevertheless, Chris has moved on since then. He made a comeback to the media by taking a job at NewsNation. Although that may have been the case, he has hardly hit the heights of his career.

Reports stress that the viewers figures were extremely low, as his debut episode got less than 200,000 viewers. In contrast, when Chris was on CNN, he would generate views in the millions. And given that he was such a household name, that was very hard for him to take.

Chris’ following comments confirmed as much: “At CNN and I wasn’t set up to be [No. 1]. I wasn’t the big name there, I didn’t have the big team, they didn’t do the advertising about me. But I was still No. 1. Why? Because it was the best show.”

Chris may no longer be a big name, but he has learnt some valuable lessons in the process. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
