In 2019, Kardashian created her own health-focused brand Poosh, and in 2020 she introduced her own line of vitamins and supplements, titled “Lemme,” with the purpose of strengthening her presence in the wellness sector.

With that being said, Kourtney, aged 43, took to Instagram earlier in the week to promote the $30 product with a CGI-enhanced advertisement depicting cats roaming around her as she indulged in a gummy snack.

Criticism has been directed at the celebrity for proposing that the probiotics in question are particularly effective in keeping the vaginal area healthy and balanced with regards to pH, allegedly to promote hygiene and reduce unpleasant odors – something many individuals have deemed to be sexist and a representation of male dominance.

Expert Dr Brooke Vandermolen had this to say: “It is purely misogynistic and anti-feminist to suggest that vaginas are somehow unclean or unhygienic because their natural smell doesn’t fit in with the ideal provided in mainstream media and porn.”

Much in the same way, Dr. Anita Mitra, a gynecologist, scientist, and health blogger with a PhD in vaginal microbiome research, has likewise expressed worries about the efficiency of the product and probiotics as a whole.

This was on the basis that there is no objective evidence for what the Kardashian was claiming. Her following comments confirmed as much: “There is absolutely no evidence to demonstrate that this product does actually change the odour or taste.”

The fans on social media slammed the Kardashian. This was on the basis that her venture was seen as a way to generate quick money. And in the process, the comments were very brutal indeed. One person wrote: “Shortney undoubtedly smells like the fish market on a hot July afternoon, hence all the kitty cats.”
