Prince Harry Condemns The Royal Circular

In his book Spare, Prince Harry commented about the obsession that the firm has with the court circular.

Prince Harry Condemns The Royal Circular-‘It Didn’t Create The Feelings Of Competitiveness, It Weaponised Them’

The court circular provides a complete record of the number of engagements each individual in the Royal Family has completed. And as part of that process, a recent poll confirmed that Princess Anne was the most hardworking royal out there.

This was based on the fact that she had attended the most number of royal engagements. While that is usually something to be proud of, it appears that Harry was not too keen on it.

In his book, he wrote: “The Court Circular was an ancient document, but it had lately morphed into a circular firing squad. It didn’t create the feelings of competitiveness that ran in my family, but it amplified them, weaponised them.”

If those comments are taken to be true, then they are very significant for the following reasons. First of all, Meghan Markle had been accused of putting her own ambition before the wider concept of royal duties.

And Harry’s comments may go some way to justify that. Secondly, it also demonstrates that it was the right time for Harry and Meghan to leave the firm. After all, with the ailing health of the late Queen Elizabeth II at the time, they would have had to take up more duties.

After all, it seemed that things had become politicised. Harry’s following comments confirmed as much: “The main reason the Court Circular was a joke, a scam, was that none of us was deciding in a vacuum how much work to do.

“Granny or Pa decided, by way of how much support (money) they allocated to our work. Money determined all.” The fans on social media bashed Harry for the fact that he came across as someone who had no determination. And in the process, the comments were brutal.

One person wrote: “Obsessed with working hard, healthy competition. Maybe Harry should try it.”  So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
