Piers Morgan abruptly severed his conversation with Alex Jones after their interview deteriorated into a chaotic argument about the Sandy Hook massacre.
Piers Morgan Cuts Off Alex Jones As Interview Goes Awry Over The Latter’s False Sandy Hook Claims-‘You Deliberately Spun A Pack Of Lies’
The two presenters were unable to conclude their discussion on Piers Morgan Uncensored when Jones yelled at Morgan for questioning him regarding remarks he made regarding the devastating school shooting.
Jones was evidently agitated that a great portion of his conversation was centred around his statements regarding the Sandy Hook massacre. The Infowars presenter was instructed to pay $1.5 billion in libel damages to the relatives of those who perished in the Sandy Hook incident.
In his comments, Morgan said: “[You] took a massive amount of fuel and you poured it on the bonfire of their pain. That is the bottom line with you, Alex. You deliberately spun a pack of lies designed to make the families of Sandy Hook suffer worse pain.”
He showed Jones a video of Nicole Hockley, who had lost her six-year-old son Dylan in the tragedy. Nicole mentioned in the video that Jones had stirred up conspiracy theorists to the point that they threatened her and her family’s safety.
Morgan continued, pointing out that Jones had declared the Sandy Hook incident to be an enormous fraud. That did not sit very well with Jones, who let everyone know in no uncertain terms that he was not going to stand for this line of inquiry.
In response, Jones remarked the following: “When are we going to talk about other topics? They live off of me. I didn’t make money off of Sandy Hook. They got $73million from Remington. They live off Sandy Hook, I don’t.”
And with both sides getting nowhere, Jones was cut off from the broadcast. The fans on social media had no sympathy towards Jones. Large numbers of people were of the view that there was no benefit to airing Jones on air at all. One person wrote: “Why bother with Alex Jones? Don’t give him any attention whatsoever.”
