Heather Gay experienced a range of feelings when her closest companion Jen Shah admitted to being guilty in a fraud case.

During the final episode of ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘, the 40-year-old revealed that she was completely overwhelmed by sorrow after hearing the news. Shah, aged 49, admitted to deceiving hundreds of individuals across the United States through a telemarketing ruse, primarily targeting senior citizens.
The celebrity was given a 6-and-a-half-year prison term. With that being said, this was very hard for Gay to take. In her comments, she said: “Grief that we are in this situation, that there are victims, our friend is going away for a decade and she has a 16-year-old.”
Despite her arrest in 2021, Gay remained staunchly loyal to Shah. When the latter eventually decided to plead guilty in the end, Gay speculated as to the reason behind her decision. It is not known if Jen’s husband had any influence on her decision to confess, however, he went on to ask the judge for Jen to be treated leniently.
He went on to declare Jen had true regret for her acts, and he even ascribed some of the fault to himself for not being present enough. And this is something that Gay recognised too.
In her comments, she remarked: “I think that Coach [Jen’s husband Sharrieff Sr] discovered what Jen was doing and that it was impossible to explain. With all the witness statements and all the witnesses, there was something that they couldn’t get out of.”
The fans on social media, though, did not resonate with what Heather had to say. A certain subset of people felt her reaction had been exaggerated since Jen did not appear too worried about it all. One person wrote: “The Queen of hyperbole.”
