Prince Harry asserted that his brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, stereotyped Meghan Markle which caused her to be not accepted as part of the Royal Family.
Prince Harry Bashes William And Kate For Stereotyping Meghan As A ‘Divorced Biracial’ Actress
During an interview with Tom Bradby, Harry made a joke about how he had found out after introducing Meghan to his family that they all watched Suits, the show that she had acted in.
He noted that the ‘stereotyping’ of Meghan, which he felt was coming from William and Kate, was creating a ‘barrier’ that was stopping his relatives from embracing her in the same way. In his comments, Harry said: “There was a lot of stereotyping that was happening, that I was guilty of as well, at the beginning.
“Well, American actress, divorced, biracial, there’s – there’s all different parts to that and what that can mean but if you are, like a lot of my family do, if you are reading the press, the British tabloids.”
Bradby also expressed that Harry viewed Kate as ‘the sister he never had,’ as the two had been companions since William and Kate began dating. The duo had a decent rapport, with Harry joining them on various occasions before he met Meghan – despite the fact that he told Bradby that while the occasions were enjoyable, he sometimes felt somewhat uncomfortable being the ‘third wheel’.
But when it came to the idea of having the fab four, those hopes soon disintegrated. Harry’s following comments confirmed as much: “The idea of the four of us being together was always a hope for me.
“Before it was Meghan, whoever it was going to be, I always hoped that the four of us would get on. But very quickly it became Meghan versus Kate.” This just goes on to show that a reconciliation is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
