Prince William took Kate Middleton for a spin in an Aston Martin, similar to the one James Bond drives, which he was gifted for a few days.
Prince William Reportedly Took Kate Middleton For A Secret Drive In A James-Bond-Style Aston Martin
According to reports, the Prince of Wales drove his wife around Norfolk in a luxurious Aston Martin DBX707, a car type that is often associated with the iconic fictional character James Bond (created by Ian Fleming).
This incident occurred shortly after William donned a velvet dinner suit and a black bow tie for his recently held £50 million Earthshot prize ceremony, which led to people making comparisons between him and the famous secret agent.
The Aston SUV, costing £189,000, is the fastest of its kind available on the market and the first vehicle to be manufactured in South Wales in over fifty years. An insider informed the Sun that the delivery of the SUV was done with utmost secrecy, such that even the secret service could have handled the operation.
After the delivery, William was seen driving it on the winding roads of North Norfolk. William has been a fan of Aston Martin for a long time. On their wedding day in 2011, William drove his bride away from Buckingham Palace in an aged Aston Martin, which was decked out with balloons in the colours of the Union Jack.
Not only that, but producer of the bond franchise, Barbara Broccoli, had jokingly suggested that William was the ideal contender for the part in taking over from Daniel Craig after he presented her with a CBE.
The fans on social media slammed the Prince of Wales. This was on the basis that he had been preaching about climate change and yet using a gas-guzzling car himself. One person wrote: “Mr Earthshot hypocrite, getting exposed again.
“Funny how Mr Earthshot, did not take DoLittle on a ride in an electric powered car! #hypocrisy.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
