A survey of Express.co.uk readers recently determined that Prince William and Kate Middleton are the most beloved royal duo.
Poll Declares William And Kate As People’s Favourite Royal Couple
This is despite the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle provided spectators with a peek into their romance in their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, ranging from their initial date, proposal saga and royal nuptials.
It sparked up a brand-new discussion about the couple, who abandoned the firm in 2020 to commence fresh lives in the US. Harry and Meghan were first introduced to one another by their mutual pals, and after a pair of meetings in London, they had to carry on their courtship from afar.
They declared their engagement in November 2017 and got married on May 19th of the following year. In his comments about the relationship, Harry remarked: “I think for so many people in the family, especially the men, there could be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mould as opposed to someone you are destined to be with.”
In contrast, William and Kate initially connected in 2001 when they were both attending the University of St Andrews. In the fall of 2010, they revealed their engagement to the public and tied the knot at Westminster Abbey.
With that being said, a poll was carried out by asking some people the following question: “Who is your favourite royal couple?” The results showed that William and Kate were the clear winners with 66% (1,987 people) of the votes.
Coming in second place, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla received nine percent of the votes (286 people), and Harry and Meghan followed with nine percent (271 people). Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, were ranked fourth in the survey, with a seven percent vote, which amounts to 218 people.
