Telemundo La Reina del Sur spoilers reveal Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo) is closer than ever to another Horseman. However, it looks like there could be a couple of problems with the mission. Meanwhile, Sofia Dantes (Isabella Sierra) will likely not be happy with Mateo Mena (Anderley Palomino). Here’s what you need to know. Plus, let’s talk Epifanio Vargas (Humberto Zurita).

Telemundo La Reina del Sur Spoilers: Problems?

At first glance, things seem good. La Reina del Sur spoilers indicate Teresa and Oleg Yosikov (Antonio Gil) are supposed to be meeting with another likely Horseman, and they’re definitely being led to this guy. However, the security measures their guides are taking could be a problem for them.

She and Oleg were forced to leave behind César “Batman” Güemes (Alejandro Calva) and Anton (Dimitry Anisimov), plus their cell phones. And according to the intel they got, it sounds like this Horseman is a bit blood thirsty, meaning Teresa and Oleg have to proceed with huge caution. We’re sure they’ll get what they need, but it’s likely to be a struggle.

As for things back at the hotel, that zombie drug plan might have backfired. With Julieta Brito’s (María Abadi) help, “Elena Bocenegra’s” (del Castillo) room has been searched. And Julieta did not like what they found. So, we expect a lot of trouble when Teresa gets back.

Telemundo La Reina del Sur Spoilers: Another low

As for Epifanio, his quest for more power knows no bounds. Clearly, he’s a low-life, given how he treats his wife. And the fact he had his father-in-law killed. But last time, he used Danilo Márquez’s (Emmanuel Orenday) sexual preference to advantage. Epifanio set it up so that Danilo and an important potential ally would be alone, and they took advantage. Meanwhile, Epifanio got proof of their hookup. So, Epifanio used that to force this guy to back Epifanio’s bid to get re-elected.

Telemundo La Reina del Sur Spoilers: Next..

Finally, there’s what’s ahead. Matos, the hostage, tries to manipulate Mateo so the reluctant kidnapper will help him escape. And it seems Matos’ efforts will at least put some doubt in Mateo’s mind. La Reina del Sur teasers hint he considers the possibility of letting Matos go without anyone being the wiser. As the relationship between him and Sofia is tense, we think she’ll catch on to what might be going on.

Honestly, we can see Mateo’s side, but we are firmly #TeamSofia. If anyone has learned you sometimes need to do things you never thought you could to survive–or to finally get some peace from constant danger from an enemy, it’s her.
