Things have gotten pretty complicated for Kim Menzies on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. As much as she was not looking forward to Usman Umar getting a second wife so that he could have kids, now he has brought up adopting his brother’s young child.
This isn’t exactly what the 52-year-old had in mind. She liked the idea of him having another wife so she wouldn’t have to raise their children. She already raised her son and is not ready for any more children. This may be her best option at this point though.

Usman has suggested that they adopt his 3-year-old nephew, Mahadi. Kim was very shocked when he suggested this, but he does want a child and she understands that clearly. Kim has some interesting takes on raising his brother’s child and one of those is because he could live with them in the states and Usman wouldn’t have to be away from her for too long at a time.

If he had a second wife, he would have to fly back to Nigeria a lot more to help take care of his other wife and kids. This seems a little tough on Kim, so this is one of the reasons adopting his nephew would be the better option.
In the next episode of the show, Kim and Usman will finally talk to his brother about adopting his child. Apparently, he hasn’t even spoken to him about this idea and has just been rolling it around in his head. This made Kim very frustrated when he decided to drop that on her while she was visiting Nigeria with her son, Jamal Menzies.
Usman explained his thoughts on adoption. He told the cameras, “Adopting Magadi is not the best option for my mom, but it’s something that she can accept ’cause my family said that I need to have my own blood to be my son and Mahadi is my brother’s child.”
Of course, this doesn’t make a lot of sense to some viewers and many of them are concerned about Usman just taking his brother’s son with him to the states. It seems very bizarre especially since he is three and not a newborn. He already knows who his parents are and has started his life with them. How will it look if Usman just takes him away from his family?
