The show has been on the air for 12 seasons, which has made it one of the mainstay ones of the franchise. While that may have been the case, Andy’s announcement has come as a surprise.
This is particularly since he did not confirm the exact reasons as to why the show was being paused, nor is there any further clarity on who will be back for the new season.
After all, Kathy Hilton has already made her feelings clear by confirming that she does not want to return to the show if Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna are still there. With that being said, a break may seem like the right thing.
In his comments, he said: “Beverly Hills, we’re taking a minute break, and then we’ll be back shooting with them in the new year.” Nevertheless, it is not all doom and gloom for the fans of the franchise.
Andy expanded on how there are still other franchises that will be going ahead. The reboot of the ‘Real Housewives of New York City‘ is currently going ahead. In addition, the ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake’ City is also being done.
And the Salt Lake City franchise will have fans waiting with bated breath since Jen Shah’s future on the show is not clear due to the fact that she is awaiting her sentencing amid telemarketing fraud charges.
And that is something that Andy hinted could provide the fans with much-needed entertainment. His following comments confirmed as much: “[We are] in the middle of a gangbuster season.”
The Beverly Hills franchise may be on a break, but if it has the impact of making the show bigger and better, then the fans will not mind. Time will tell how this all plays out moving forward in the future.
