Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas were crowned the winners of Dancing with the Stars.

There had initially been controversy over Charli’s appearance on the show due to the fact that she did have some prior dancing experience.
While that may have been the case, the background noise soon went away following a series of impressive performances on the show. And in the process of doing so, she managed to outwit the following celebrities, Gabby Windey, Wayne Brady and Shangela to the title.
And once the dust had settled down, Charli could not hide her delight. In her comments, she said: “It’s been crazy, just so amazing, It all happened so fast that I don’t even know how to feel yet.” This was also a memorable moment for Mark too.
It was the first time that he returned to the show following his departure on the 25th season. And few could have envisaged that 6 seasons later, he would be walking away with the title.
In addition, there was also some further good news. Charli’s boyfriend, Landon Barker, happened to be supporting her from the crowd, alongside her parents and sister Dixie D’Amelio which made things even sweeter.
The latter had this to say about her sister winning: “I’m so incredibly proud of her. I miss her so much and I’m excited to be around her more. She did so amazing. She’s worked so hard and I’m just so proud of her.”
The fans on social media were not too convinced by the results. This was on the basis that a certain subset felt the other contestants had shown more improvement.
One person wrote: “Charli D’amelio Winning Dancing With The Stars is the same vibes as Tr*mp winning the election, just FRAUDULENT.”
