Lala Kent Recalls Taking Her Daughter To Hospital After She Was ‘Gasping For Air’
Ocean, for her part, is only 18-months-old which made the experience a whole lot more traumatic. And as part of that process, Lala will have most likely had to discuss things with her ex, Randall Emmett. The pair are not on good terms since they parted ways after allegations that Randall had been unfaithful.
With that being said, Lala did become quite overwhelmed by the whole situation. In her comments, she said: “I put her down on Wednesday night, I hear[d] her upset. And people always ask, “Did you sleep train Ocean?
“And I did, because I feel like you know their cry. ‘[She was] gasping for air like she cannot breathe.” That naturally put Lala in a difficult position. She could have waited to see what may happen, or taken the decision to immediately go to the hospital.
She did the latter, as they ended up at Cedars Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles. To make matters more worrying, the ER department was crowded. But given that this was a serious issue, Lala managed to get some quick assistance.
It turns out that Ocean was diagnosed with croup, that is an infection in the airway which makes it very hard to breathe. But after having been given some medicine, everything turned out well despite Lala’s reservations.
She added: “Luckily Ocean’s lungs are developed, so it is something that if you catch it quickly is very treatable. Even talking about it now, it was like, “Oh my God this is so scary.” Like, I asked the nurse, Is my baby going to wake up tomorrow? Because I’m freaking out.”
Thankfully, everyone is in a good place as who knows what could have happened on any other given day. And that is the most important thing to remember moving forward.
