Doja Cat Slams Twitter By Changing Her Handle To ‘Fart’ After Initially Complaining She Couldn’t Change It
The rapper decided to change her name to ‘Christmas’ in light of the impending festivities. Although this may have been the case, it became very clear that this was a bad idea.
Not only does this have nothing to do with Doja’s career as a performer, it will have most likely confused her fan base since they would not have been able to find her. With that being said, Doja made it absolutely clear in no uncertain terms that she wanted to change it back.
In response to the issue, Doja said: “I don’t wanna be christmas forever @elonmusk please help i’ve made a mistake,” to which Elon Musk replied: “Working on it!”
As a result, it appeared that everything was fine as the star went on to state the following: “Thank u elon @elonmusk.” And yet, this could have been a sly dig since Doja updated her handle to the word, ‘fart.’
This does go on to show that Elon has a lot to navigate if he wants Twitter to remain competitive. He has already received criticism in response to his plans to charge people in order to remain verified on Twitter. This was on the basis that this approach was an attack on freedom of speech.
In addition, Musk has also been criticised for firing a significant number of Twitter staff, including members of the human rights team. That has resulted in a certain subset of celebrities leaving the platform, including none other than Gigi Hadid.
The fans on social media could not help but laugh about the whole situation. And as a result, they began to mock Doja’s new handle with some suggesting that Elon could retaliate. One person wrote: “So you’re fart forever.”
