Kanye West’s Appearance On The ‘Uninterrupted The Shop’ Podcast Not Aired Due To His ‘Hate Speech’
Things appear to be going from bad to worse for Ye following the initial controversy he had received for allegedly making anti-Semitic posts. This has also been followed up by his bank J.P. Morgan Chase, who made it absolutely clear that they want him to find another bank by November of this year.
Although Kanye had an opportunity to address these criticisms on the podcast, it appears that he only went on to fuel the flames of discontent which is why it will not be aired.
In an official statement given by the executive producer, Maverick Carter, he said: “Unfortunately, he used ‘The Shop’ to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes.
“We have made the decision not to air this episode or any of Kanye’s remarks..Hate speech should never have an audience.” This should not come as a surprise, given the reaction that Kanye has generated with his recent conduct.
There is a serious possibility that he could end up being cancelled, with various brands looking to distance themselves from him. His Adidas deal, which runs out in 2026, is currently under review.
Meanwhile, his White Lives Matter top has alienated various stars in the industry, such as P. Diddy and Jamie Lee Curtis. This would make it extremely risky for a brand to associate themselves with Ye for fear that they could also end up being cancelled.
The fans on social media were not surprised by the reaction. A certain subset of people felt that there was always going to be a risk due to the restrictions being placed on freedom of speech. One person wrote: “Ye spoke out, they cracked the whip. Some things never change.”
