The primary criticism centres around the fact Nick allegedly has nine children, with two more on the way, but with five different women. Although Abby may be one of those who shares two children with him, others have questioned why she would decide to get herself involved with a man who is connected to so many women.
This has led to suggestions that perhaps Abby is not doing enough to find someone that will settle down exclusively with her. And yet, she hit back at any claims that her confidence was an issue.
In her comments, she said: “Being in a polyamorous relationship doesn’t mean you have low self-esteem or self-worth. I become hypersensitive when people attack me and my motherhood.” Not only that, but Abby is also apparently pregnant with a third child.
It is not exactly clear who the father of that could be, but there is a strong possibility that it could be Nick once again. With that being said, she wanted to let everyone know that her children were the first priority which had to be separated from people’s opinions about her and Nick.
Abby’s following comments confirmed as much: “Me being open in my relationship does not change or take away from the type of mother that I am to my kids and the wholeness that I am to them and the strength that I share with them.”
Nevertheless, the fans on social media were not convinced by Abby’s comments. This was primarily on the basis that they felt the children would suffer since Nick may not be able to commit fully since he has so many children with different women. One person wrote: “The real loosers here are the kids.”
