‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that next month Denise Boutte will be stepping into the role of Imani Benedict! On September 6th, we will see a new face in the role, and we’re here to answer why and how this is going to affect the storylines.
Firstly, Boutte is no stranger to appearing on daytime and appeared on NBC’s ‘Days of our Lives’ during a stint in 2004 to 2007 as Danielle Calder. Fans may also recognize her from as Raven Sinclair on ‘The Family Business’ as well as the voice of Raquel Ervin on ‘Young Justice’.

So why is Leigh-Ann Rose being recast in the role and what happened? As it turns out, everything is just fine. It looks like this will just be a temporary thing as Rose has some scheduling conflicts with her Y&R role and another of her projects. So while we will be seeing a new face in the role for a little bit, Leigh-Ann will be right back in the saddle shortly after.
Despite Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) advice to back off, Imani hasn’t concealed her attraction to Nate Hasting (Sean Dominic). We’ll find it interesting to watch Boutte temporarily assume the sassy persona, and we can’t wait to see her again during the day.
