Israel may have come out victorious with a decision, but Chris was not impressed by the manner he went about in achieving that. This was particularly true since Chris happened to be cageside after having attended to watch the fight.

And in the aftermath of the victory, Chris let everybody know that he was not impressed by the performance. And in fact, Chris’ comments suggested that he had become somewhat bored by the spectacle.

During his comments to ESPN, Chris said: “I’m not a fan, man. I’m not a fan of coming out, all that talk and then just kind of putting on a little bit of a pitter-patter. I’m like, ‘Come on, man. Cash on that.’ You’ve got to cash on that promise of being so bad–s.”

Those comments did not sit very well with Israel for the following reasons. First of all, Chris is not a fighter. Therefore, it is easy to judge when watching from the outside as opposed to being in the octagon itself.

Secondly, it is not always possible to win in a convincing or entertaining manner. But as long as somebody comes out victorious, then that is the only thing that the history books will remember.

That is why Israel responded by putting Chris in his palace. In his comments, he replied: “Good Morning,. I’m the man. You’re just some fan.” Chris had no option but to hold his hands up and apologise for his disrespectful comments.

After all, there was no way he could counter such a thing. And if he did end up doing that, there was a possibility that he could have gotten Israel riled up. This is the last thing that you want to do to a UFC fighter.

In his follow-up comments, Chris stated: “You’re right. I’m sorry brutha. It bugs me when people criticize my work- having never themselves risked anything. It makes me a hypocrite to do exactly that to you.”
