Amber Heard has challenged her ex-husband Johnny Depp to conduct a similar sit-down interview with NBC in the aftermath of the defamation trial decision.

The Hollywood actress has been very vocal about her dissatisfaction with the decision that was made by the jury on the basis that social media may have played a part in having an outcome on the case.
And she has not stayed silent on that by airing her grievances with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie. In the process of doing so, she had also controversially claimed that she still loved Johnny.
Therefore, if Depp’s team have been left dissatisfied with anything that she has said, they are more than welcome to counter it by having their own interview.
In a statement given on behalf of Heard, her representative said: “If Mr. Depp or his team have a problem with this, we recommend that Johnny himself sit down with Savannah Guthrie for an hour and answer all her questions.”
Nevertheless, this is unlikely to happen for the following reasons. First of all, Depp has already walked away with victory. As such, there is no reason for him to say anything else on the public record.
This is particularly true since it could be used against him in an appeal, which Heard’s team has already stated that they will exercise. Secondly, Johnny will be looking to put this behind him as soon as possible and look towards the future.
So having a sit-down interview is unlikely to aid him with that. Lastly, in any event, Heard could end up doing herself more damage if she continues to speak out and say something that could be directed against her.
And the latter point was exactly the sentiment being expressed on social media. One person wrote: “She’s already doing enough damage to herself with these interviews. She doesn’t need more help.”
