‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that in a preview for next week we see Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) dump Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). This comes after her obsession with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack wanting her to lay off.
While everyone is hesitant about Diane, Jack is hoping that she is honestly trying to change and do better for their son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Phyllis just couldn’t let this go and kept on proding at Diane every chance she got. Jack has finally had enough it seems, and told her to settle down with a good ole’ dumping.

This comes just days after Phyllis had spoken to her daughter, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) about what had happened and worried that she had messed up too much. Turns out, she was right. Now, I wonder where Jack’s love life will be going. Is there really a chance that he will end up with Diane again after all of these years?
While it seems like a long shot, he seems especially happy with how she’s been handling her relationship with Kyle and how she’s trying to do better. Maybe he’ll find some solace in seeing her as a changed woman and it may be a nice change from his usual run-arounds with Phyllis. It’s time for Jack to be happy, and he needs someone new. Sure, Diane isn’t “new”, but it’s been decades and they use to share a life together, however, Phyllis kind of came into the middle of that as well. While it’s been a lot of back and forth between the three of them, why not give Jack another shot with Diane?
