Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way when they were dating. When they got engaged, Deavan moved to Korea to be with him. They ended up having a child together, but things really were not good in their marriage. Deavan has since moved on to another man and now that her divorce with Jihoon is final, she has decided to tell her fans more about her marriage and storyline with Jihoon.

90 Day Fiancé: The Big News

For years, many former cast members from 90 Day Fiancé have mentioned that the show is scripted. Now Deavan has started to talk to her fans about her storyline and how it was 96% fake.

On May 23, Deavan revealed that her divorce was final on Instagram. She had a Q& A session with her fans and one fan asked her why she leave Jihonn. She answered, “If you want me to be 100% honest, I don’t think there was a romantic connection, to begin with. We both felt this way and had talked about it several times.

We did everything for the show because he had debts and I had medical bills to pay. When I moved there, we never slept in the same bed. We faked it for YouTube and the show. Once he became abusive, I made him stay at his parents. I had planned to return home in March then Covid hit and my flight was canceled. We both had ended the relationship in November but decided to finish the season. We both knew we had to continue filming.”

Another fan asked her when did it all go wrong and why did the viewers never know. Deavan replied, “To add to this question, I thought it was pretty obvious to viewers that we didn’t like each other. I’ve looked back and watched the show with clear eyes now. I wish I saw the signs before it got out of hand.”

One last fan asked, “So the show was fake after all?” Deavan told them, “Some was fake. Some were real. Season one…96% was fake. I wasn’t seeking approval. When you saw us in Vegas, we were already married on paper. It wasn’t either of our ideas to get married. But his parents insisted to make it work. We both thought we were doing the right thing and feelings could happen later on. I never moved to Korea in season one. We planned a seven-day trip because filming insisted we had to film scenes in Korea. I was never going to move. We got cast in season two and agreed to stay in Korea for filming. As for his debt and crimes, I really didn’t know and found out on camera. Season two, I would say was 50/50 real.”

This post really put things in print for fans and now many of them are ready to stop watching.
