Angelina Jolie made a surprise visit to Ukraine in order to offer assistance amid the country’s war with Russia.

The Hollywood actress is known for her activism, as a result of being a UNHCR Special Envoy for Refugees. And as part of that process, she has visited war-torn countries including a recent visit to Yemen.
In line with that, she made a visit to the city of Lviv, Ukraine. In the picture here, we can see that Angelina is getting very close to the children who have had to bear the brunt of the consequences of the war. She is hugging them, while she poses with a photo and has a huge smile on her face.
Maksym Kozytskyy, who happens to be the Governor of Lviv, spoke on just how much of a bond the actress managed to obtain with the residents. He said: “She was very moved by (the children’s) stories. One girl was even able to privately tell Ms. Jolie about a dream she’d had.”
Angelina was not only there just to meet small children, though. The actress continued her journey in the country by visiting a boarding school. And that is where she managed to have some heartfelt conversations with those that were old enough to understand precisely what was going on.
In another image here, Angelina is posing with a fan who just so happens to be a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. And after having left such an impression, people were shocked that Angelina had come.
Maksym added: “The visit was a surprise to us all. Plenty of people who saw Ms. Jolie in the Lviv region could not believe that it was really her.” Angelina has certainly shown that she is not shy in throwing herself out there into situations that could potentially be dangerous.
