The singer announced the bombshell that she was expecting what would be her first child with Sam Asghari. Although that may be the case, she is already a mother to two children. Therefore, she is fully aware of what it takes to go through pregnancy.
And yet, it is important to bear in mind that a lot has happened in her life since then. In the aftermath of her conservatorship victory, she decided to get engaged to Sam. But that happiness has been clouded by various public feuds with Britney’s family members most notably against text sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.
Naturally, all these experiences have had an impact on her mindset. In a post to her fans on social media, she said: “Yes. I’m scared to have a baby in this world, especially in America where they did four documentaries without me in them and telling my story!”
This is hardly welcoming news, especially since everything Britney has been through. And this begs the question, is she in the right frame of mind to be having a child? It is true to say that she does have support in the form of Sam, but it is also important to remember that he does not have any experience of fatherhood.
Secondly, now that Britney is pregnant, if the delivery does have some complications, will she be able to cope with this? And these worries were the sentiments being expressed on social media.
A significant proportion of people began to fear that Britney could suffer from a mental breakdown, if she became overwhelmed. After all, her prior track record in this regard is not good.
One fan wrote: “I can see why she is scared her ex and her family used her postpartum to steal her life to get big paydays … so many people are supporting her now but still haters will comment on her mental heath.”
